I see therapy as a joint venture where our knowledge and skills are combined to create solutions. I believe that my clients should be active participants in the process and that trust, honesty and openness are keys to building a good therapeutic relationship that will convey positive outcomes.
My educational background includes a degree from the Dallas Funeral Institute, a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, and a Master of Arts in Counseling. I’ve trained with Kenyatta Black’s Counseling of Trauma and Grief and studied under Dr. Moses Chism with emphasis on Pain Languages. Client experiences include Trauma, Grief, Depression, Anxiety, Codependency, Marriage and Family.
As an individual, I too wear many hats in my day to day life. Many times, our daily roles consume so much of your time you often forget who you are. I’d love the opportunity to remind you of your purpose and to reintroduce you back to your true self.
My goal is to provide a non-judgmental environment with positive regard and openness. I help individuals understand that they are in control of their own choices and give them opportunity to take control of their own lives and learn to accept themselves for their inner strength and self-worth, while challenging them to face difficult emotions as a source for true client change.
It is my desire that the counselor and client work together to decide upon the goals of therapy, and to ensure that those goals are met for each session. A moment of hesitation may cause you a lifetime of regrets. Don’t delay, give me a call today!
I guarantee I will exceed your level of expectations with my services.
